OK, we're at war. I don't want to try to say whether it's just or not, just ask you to please keep an open mind and remember that the word 'propaganda' translates the same everywhere in the world.
Don’t believe everything you read. Don't believe everything you're told. Try to find out the facts for yourself. Read around. Who benefits from this conflict? Which individuals? Who dies?
Make up your own mind; don't let the media make it up for you.
Recommended reading: New scientist, esp the 'Perception is Everything' article.
On a much lighter note, went to see Peter Kay last night in Blackpool. Very very funny. The biscuit dunking sketch had tears rolling down my face. Do whatever you need to do to go and see this man before his muse deserts him.....
And the most important question about the war came up:
Where does Saddam Hussein keep his CDs?
(Think about it...)

There's a first time for everything!!
Or so they say, so this afternoon I took apart my GF4 Ti4200 GFX card.
Not just for the crack, I didn't just think "let's see if we can fook up a 200 quid card". My computer has been getting steadily louder over the last few months. I opened it up last night and gave all the fans a very light oiling on their spindles and cleaned all the crap that gets on them from smoking at the pc.
Still noisy. So today I opened it up and plugged it back in again (nervously, I don't like lectric) and had a listen.
PSU fan? Nope, Proc fan? Nope, Additional cooling fan? Nope. Shitty little fan on my GFX card? Could be!
So, whipped it out (the card), took off the fan guard, took the little fan off, cleaned it all, replaced fan, did *not* replace fan guard, moved a couple of other cards down a slot, just in case, fired the bitch up.
Blissful silence.
I know this might not mean much to others but for a complete hardware n00b I'm feeling pretty chuffed with myself
